LaVar Ball was born in Los Angeles, California in October 1968. He was a tight end who played at Canoga Park High School and Cal State Los Angeles. Ball signed with the New York Jets in 1995 but was loaned to the London Monarchs of the World League of American Football where he primarily served as a kick returner. Ball was also a part of the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad.
Ball also played basketball and is best known for being the father of UCLA basketball player Lonzo Ball and Chino Hills High School players LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball.
