Ciara Princess Harris was born on October 25, 1984 in Austin, Texas. She grew up an army brat in Germany, New York, Utah, California, Arizona, and Nevada before her family settled in Atlanta where she graduated from high school in 2003. As a teenager, Ciara signed a publishing deal as a songwriter. Her first success was the song, “Got Me Waiting” for singer Fantasia Barrino’s album “Free Yourself”. After graduating from Riverdale High School in 2003, she was signed by LaFace Records’ famous record executive L.A. Reid. In addition to her singing career, she has also performed as a dancer and a fashion model for a variety of brands. She is most famous though for being a singer, dancer, producer, and actress.
Ciara first burst onto the music scene in 2004 with her triple platinum debut album, “Goodies”.
